Financial Literacy
The SER-National Financial Literacy Campaign will include information on budgeting for life’s large and small events, financial literacy for persons of all ages, credit 101, and education to dispel myths many Latinos retain regarding financial institutions. In partnership with financial service industry leaders SER National will support a practical user-friendly training programs. Topics such as:
 
Importance of checking, banking, check card accounts;
Effective budget money management strategies;
Inexpensive ways to send money home;
Effective ways to manage credit and credit lines;
Understanding Credit Bureaus and Credit Ratings;
Myths and Realities of homeownership;
Best Practices in Investing in Your Child’s Education; and
Retirement: Effective Planning for the Future.
 
Financial Literacy Workshops

Free Financial Literacy Workshops provided by SER National Corporation and Workforce Solutions Upper Rio Grande. The workshops will increase the knowledge of the economic system in the U.S. and basic skills in the world of banking.
