Rosa Rosales is the founder and director of the National Association of Public Employees (NAPE), a San Antonio-based union. A political activist, she advocates for Hispanics across the country on issues including education, health, housing, and civil rights.
In addition to her work with SER National, Rosales is a member and past president of the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC). She has also served as regional director, national labor representative, and field supervisor for the National Association of Government Employees. She is a co-founder of the United Public Employee Association, and serves on the San Antonio Boy’s Club Advisory Council and many other boards.
Rosales has received numerous awards, including the American GI Forum Leadership Award, the LULAC Women of the Year Award, the Cesar Chavez March for Justice Award, Reconocimiento Ohtli from the Mexican government, Hispanic Business’ list of 100 Most Influential, and in 2010 Target named her one of the most influential Hispanics in the United States.
