Located in Santa Ana, SER was organized to address the unique needs of the local population. As a valued part of the community for over 40 years, SER has become a trusted neighbor – one that people know they can count on. Santa Ana SER is a licensed private post secondary and vocational school, and since 1972 has operated under a contract with Santa Ana College to teach basic adult skills and vocational classes to people in the surrounding area. During the past three decades, SER has placed more than 5,000 people into employment. Using a constant 1999-dollar standard and the average hourly earnings of SER’s 1999 graduates as a multiplier, SER graduates currently contribute about $80 million into the local economy. Not bad for a small organization operating on a limited budget with a mission of assisting those most in need!
