SER-Jobs for Progress of the Texas Gulf Coast
For the past 46 years, SER- Jobs for Progress of the Texas Gulf Coast has provided workforce development services to the greater Houston area. The program combines community efforts, government programming and private sector support to help thousands of individuals on the road to self-sufficiency and a better life. Today’s customers are often people whose parents and grandparents started their careers with help from SER. SER Houston provides a holistic approach to helping Hispanics – Houston’s new majority – and other communities in need to improve their lives. Starting with occupational training in both the green construction and healthcare industries, SER bundles educational services, financial planning, career coaching and other job preparation services to make a difference for families and the neighborhoods in which they live.
